The Vice Admiralty Court,
Hong Kong, May 7th 1872.
As Judge of the Vice Admiralty Court of this Colony, in accordance with the provisions of Section 3 of "The Vice Admiralty Courts Act Amendment Act 1867", I deem it my duty to draw Your Excellency's attention to the circumstances, so far as this Court is concerned, under which the French Mail Steam Ship "Ava" was arrested and released on the 4th Instant.
